Homemade Vanilla and Mint Ice Cream with Black and White Chocolate Chips Recipe

This homemade ice cream is flavored with creamy vanilla and mint and studded with black and white chocolate chips.

Ingredients

• 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 cup whole milk
• 1/2 cup black and white chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Time Needed

• Prep Time: 20 minutes
• Cook Time: 10 minutes
• Total Time: 30 minutes

Instructions

• In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt.
• Stir for 5 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is thoroughly heated.
• Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
• Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before transferring it to an ice cream maker and churning according to the manufacturer's directions.
• During the last 5 minutes of churning, stir in the chocolate chips.
• Freeze the ice cream in a freezer-safe container until firm, 4 hours or overnight.
