Homemade Double Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder in a medium saucepan.
- Cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat until the mixture comes to a simmer.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until melted and mixture is smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and chill for at least 2 hours, or until completely cooled.
