Instructions

  • Heat the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves.
  • Remove from the heat and add the vanilla extract.
  • Place the mixture in a bowl and set aside to cool to room temperature.
  • Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • In an ice cream maker, churn the ice cream mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • When the ice cream is almost done churning, add the blueberry jam and churn for a few minutes more, until the jam is fully incorporated.
