  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Instructions

  • Heat the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Transfer the mixture to a bowl and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • In an ice cream maker, churn the chilled mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Add the toasted slivered almonds in the last minute of churning.
  • Place the ice cream in a container and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight.
